Clay County Warrant RecordsClay County Warrant Records

This is a private reference service, not a Nebraska court or law-enforcement office. Questions about a current Clay County warrant belong with the court that holds the case, the Sheriff for execution routing, or the jail for custody and bond questions. The contacts below separate those roles.

Not a government office. This reference cannot confirm, recall, clear, or remove a warrant, post bond, arrange surrender, or give legal advice. Use the official Clay County and Nebraska Judicial Branch contacts for those actions.

Start with the court type and case number. County Court is the first route for traffic, misdemeanor, ordinance, bond, and preliminary-hearing matters. District Court is the felony-record route after bind-over. Both court offices use the Clay County courthouse in Clay Center.

The County Attorney is listed at 402-762-3461 for prosecution questions. The prosecutor is not the universal custodian for court dockets. When the right department is uncertain, the Clay County Freedom of Information page says the County Clerk can forward a request to the department in charge.

What to Have Ready

Give the office the full name used in the case, case or citation number, approximate year, court type, city or agency, and the exact question. Ask whether the record shows an active, recalled, stayed, cancelled, or superseded warrant event, and what next action the court requires. Do not send a private person’s identifying details to a public website.

For a traffic matter, ask whether payment, waiver or plea, time payment, an appearance, or payment alternatives apply. For a felony, ask whether the case remains in County Court or moved to District Court. For custody, call the jail and the court together.
